Meet The Vanity Project team
Why is the fight to end breast cancer important to you?
As a team, we've all been touched by family or a close friends' family that has been affected by breast cancer. It's important to us because we believe we can help prolong the lives of women both now and in the future—our mothers, sisters, wives, and daughters. We feel that the cure is near, and with the right leadership and funding we can make this a reality in our lifetime.
Who inspires your support for the cause?
There's no question we have a special inspiration in this effort to end breast cancer. Our co-founder’s mother was diagnosed some years ago with breast cancer. After a successful fight, we are glad to say that she is now a part of our company. She is certainly the most prominent reminder for us of the need to support the fight against this disease, but there are so many more individuals close to us that have had breast cancer, and it is for every one of them that we continue to support efforts to find a cure.
What drew you to Edith Sanford?
The fight against breast cancer has reached a point where it is often unclear how donations are being spent by organizations and what impact our dollars are making. With Edith Sanford, we immediately felt that there was something different. They are focused exclusively on maximizing the impact of funding and resources to expedite the search for a cure. Edith Sanford is a leader in a crowded space of breast cancer awareness and impact, providing donors with complete confidence that their dollars are being spent to be the best of their ability. Our organizational values are very much aligned.
How do you support the cause in your daily business?
Our founders created The Vanity Project to help organizations maximize their branding and fundraising efforts. By partnering with organizations like Edith Sanford, we're able to blow out the promotional value of branded apparel and merchandise to help grow awareness and donations for the organization and the fight to end breast cancer as a whole. Through our product knowledge and design expertise, we create items that people actually want to wear, and in turn we spur conversations about Edith Sanford. We remind supporters of the organization's critical efforts, we bring new members into the community, and we energize the support base behind the organization.
