Thank you, CGI, for your strong support of our mission to end breast cancer.
Meet the CGI/Women's Running team
Why is the fight to end breast cancer important to CGI?
One woman in eight will develop breast cancer in her lifetime, and we all have been directly or indirectly affected by this devastating disease. As an organization that celebrates the strength of women, we are dedicated to doing our part to help the fight to end breast cancer.
Who inspires your support for the cause?
Every woman who is afflicted with this disease serves as inspiration. However, it really hit home last year when our managing editor, Nicki Miller, was diagnosed with breast cancer. Thankfully, it was caught and treated early, but Nicki is a huge inspiration to our team.
What drew you to Edith Sanford?
The Edith Sanford staff has so much passion for the cause. Most importantly, every dollar raised by the Foundation is invested in smart, innovative genomic research to help end this devastating disease.
How do you support the cause in your daily business?
Women’s Running magazine and the Women’s Running Series’ mission is to empower women to lead healthy and active lifestyles through running. We have an incredible opportunity to help educate and raise funds for Team Edith through these platforms. The Women’s Running Series donates a portion of every race entry to the Edith Sanford Foundation.
