Edith Sanford Research Team to Present at AACR Annual Meeting

(Sioux Falls, SD) – The Edith Sanford Breast Cancer Foundation announced today that the Edith Sanford Breast Cancer Research team will share its latest findings at the 2013 annual meeting of the American Association of Cancer Research (AACR), which runs April 6 through 10 in Washington, D.C.

Brian Leyland-Jones, MB BS, PhD, director of Edith Sanford Breast Cancer Research, and members of the translational breast cancer research team will present three scientific abstracts. Their work will highlight emerging treatments for aggressive breast cancer subtypes, such as HER2-positive and triple negative breast cancer, and new insights on molecular targets.

The AACR is the oldest and largest scientific organization in the world focused on every aspect of high-quality, innovative cancer research. Every spring, its annual meeting highlights the latest discoveries and provides an opportunity for cancer investigators from all over the world to meet and forge collaborations.
